Frequently asked questions
What kind of plug type do you have on board?
We have 3 pin UK type power sockets on the boat and provide adapters for other plug types. The voltage is 220 V.
Do you have DIN/INT tanks?
We can provide for both connections, so no need to bring adapters

What size of tanks do you provide?
We provide 11.5 and 13.5 liter aluminium tanks FOC and have 15 liter steel tanks upon request and at an extra charge
What is the average water temperature?
Average water temperature all year round is 27/28 degrees Celsius
Do you have wireless on board?
We do not have wireless on board but have dongles available that work on 3G basis with an USB connection. The dongle can be connected to private laptops or on the computer on board. The internet connection will be good enough to read emails but not fast enough for large downloads. Connection speed depends on location of the boat. Cost will be average 8 USD per hour.
Do you have Nitrox?
Yes we do at extra charge.
Carpe Diem (3 dives a day) : 100 USD for 7 night trip/150 USD for 10 night
Carpe Vita (4 dives a day): 150 USD for 7 night trip/ 200 USD for 10 night
Do you have hair dryers?
We do but not standard in all cabins. A few hairdryers are available with housekeeping
What time does the boat get back to port?
The day before departure the boat usually comes back to port between 3 and 4 pm after which guests will be offered a visit to Male’city.
What is the earliest time of departure on the day of departure?
Early flight departures on the day of departure are possible but will limit the amount of dives the day before due to 24 hours no diving before flying. We offer a maximum of 2 dives on the day before departure. Sometimes this may vary however depending on the itinerary.
What are the check in timings for the Carpe Diem and Carpe Vita?
Carpe Diem: between noon and 1 pm during back to back trips
Carpe Vita: around 2.30 pm during back to back trips
What are the check out timings for the Carpe Diem and Carpe Vita?
Carpe Diem and Carpe Vita latest by 8 am during back to back trips
What options do we have when we arrive early morning before check in or have late flights after early morning check out?
Possibilities are to store your luggage at the airport and visit Male city. There is a ferry going every 10 minutes from the airport to Male’city which costs 1 USD p/p one way
Other possibility is to visit the nearby airport hotel, Hulhule Island hotel and make use of their facilities. They have a swimming pool package of 43 USD p/p which includes transfer, luggage storage, 1 drink, use of towels, sun beds, swimming pool, showers and changing rooms. No reservations are needed for this and cost can be paid directly to the hotel reception. One could also just go there and have something to drink or eat by the pool side.
